01 — Concept
A room composed for stillness
Serene Bedroom is conceived as a private retreat — a room that does not perform, does not announce, does not entertain. Every surface and proportion is calibrated for the slow end of the day.

Private ResidenceDubai, UAE
A private bedroom composed around stillness, texture, and warm architectural light.

Project Manifesto
A quiet residential interior shaped through soft proportions, layered materials, and low-key illumination — a private retreat conceived for stillness, not display.
Architecture
The room is held by soft proportion. Thresholds are recessed, ceilings sit lower than the public floors, joinery aligns with the bed axis — the architecture exists to compose calm, not to perform.
Materials
Honed travertine, smoked oak, warm linen, brushed bronze. Surfaces are layered for touch, not contrast — every material finishes matt, every edge resolves softly.
Lighting
Light enters indirectly. Linen filters daylight; concealed coves wash 2700K across stone after dusk. No overhead general lighting in the sleeping volume.
Tone
Intimate, restrained, quiet. A room composed for the end of the day.

Design Narrative
Four passages — concept, atmosphere, circulation, sensory language. The way every NOX FORM project is composed.
01 — Concept
Serene Bedroom is conceived as a private retreat — a room that does not perform, does not announce, does not entertain. Every surface and proportion is calibrated for the slow end of the day.
02 — Atmosphere
The palette holds inside a single warm band — travertine, taupe, smoked oak, bronze. There are no accent colors, no contrast moments. Mood is built through material and light alone.
03 — Materials
Materials are layered for touch rather than image. Wool underfoot, linen at the windows, oak at the headboard, bronze along the eyeline. Nothing reflects; everything absorbs.
04 — Sensory language
Daylight is filtered through linen sheers; nighttime is carried by concealed coves at 2700K. Ceilings sit low above the bed and lift gently towards the dressing area — a quiet architectural gesture.
Cinematic Gallery
Each frame is a still from the same architectural film — composed for stillness, not for the camera.

Detail Frames
Architecture lives in millimetres. These are the moments where the material reads — and where the building begins to feel inhabited.

Niche · Bronze
A recessed niche framed by a single bronze line — the room's only ornament.

Linen · Light
Belgian linen filters daylight to a slow, even wash.

Oak · Joinery
Wire-brushed smoked oak — touched daily, never decorated.
Materiality
A short, honest palette. Every surface is named — and chosen for how it ages, never for how it photographs.

Material
Matt-honed travertine for floor and wall planes — warm beige, soft veining, never polished.

Material
Wire-brushed smoked oak for the headboard wall, wardrobe joinery, and bedside niches.

Material
Heavy-weave linen sheers and bed dressing — undyed, slow to crease, soft to the touch.

Material
Patinated bronze for hardware, edge profiles, and the inlaid line that runs along the bed axis.

Material
Wool bouclé on the chaise and accent seating — restrained, tactile, never decorative.

Material
Low-pile wool rug underfoot — undyed, hand-loomed, calibrated for sound as much as touch.
Floorplan
A minimal architectural reading of Serene Bedroom — circulation, rooms, and thresholds resolved as a single quiet diagram.
Plan — bed axis, dressing volume, soft thresholds
